About Colorful Bible
Colorful Bible is about color itself and the Bible: which colors Scripture names, what the words meant, and where later art and church custom added their own.
Who writes it
Colorful Bible is written by the people behind BibleDo, which sets the World English Bible to music word for word. The same people make Bible TV Art.
How each page is checked
Every verse is quoted from the World English Bible, a public domain translation, and links to the passage. Hebrew and Greek words are checked against an interlinear. Every claim about a word, a translation or a tradition links to the source it came from. Where scholars disagree, the page says so and names both sides instead of picking one.
The research behind these pages began in October 2026 with a reading of the color words in Scripture, the history of church colors, and the argument over biblical blue.
